Parent's Anniversary

Today was my parent's anniversary, and this year it is their 18th anniversary. I made a card for my mommie and daddie, and gave it to them right when i woke up in the morning. For lunch, my sister and I took my mommie to a restaurant and payed for it too, but sadly my dad was at work so he didn't come with us.

Last year my daddie didn't get anything for my mom and this year my sister and I wanted it to be special this time so we told our daddie to buy 12 roses for my mommie and he did (12 roses is my mommies favourite number). My daddie then thought of taking my mommie to the KEG so they went there for dinner while my sister and I was home together eating dinner alone.

My daddie gave my mommie the roses when she went inside the car and I really wanted to see the reaction on her face but sadly I wasn't there. My mommie and daddie still didn't come home yet and I am still very excited and happy for them.

BASKETBALL CHAMPIONS :)

The girls basketball team of S.A.M had made it to the city finals. We are now the best of Scarborough and we represent the east when we go to our city finals on Wednesday, the 16th of December 2009. Well all of this came with alot of hard work and practice, we have practices in the morning at 7:30 am for about 2 or 3 times a week (weekdays).

We started of a little rusty at our first tournament at ACI where we played against Gr 8 teams. After a few weeks of practice we were alot better because of the new skills Mr Busby and Ms Cheng taught us. We learned how to defend and shoot better and also how to work as a team.
It doesn't matter if we lost or won, it was mostly about trying and playing our best all the time. Playing our best and trying our best was how we won and made it this far.

We also had some spectators/"cheerleaders" during our basketball games at S.A.M. That had bumped some of our confidence and pumped us more by us having to make our school proud of us. Our S.A.M spirit was also a good part because even if we were going to lose or was tired the people on the bench/audience was still cheering for us and that made us feel better and concentrate on he game.
